CONSISTENCY IS KEY

As many of you know, journal writing has never been my strong point. Online journal writing just continually brings that point home. So, for your fourth quarter review (which will consist of no backtracking to the second and third quarters of 2008) ... TEXAS – Michelle and I took a much need vacation to the great state. I really need to figure out how to live without an 8-5 job. It was extremely nice waking up whenever I felt like it. We celebrated my Aunt Janet and cousin Daniel’s birthdays.

We visited my friends … which, obviously, were the highlights for Michelle. We toured Denton, Dallas, and Ft. Worth. We ate at Chick-Fil-A a hundred million times … because I am slightly addicted to their nuggets. We caught the King Tut Exhibit at the Dallas Museum of Art … which would have been more fantastic if they’d had his actual sarcophagus. Went to the Ft. Worth Zoo and fed the birds.
Just one of each of us
Finally ... one came over to Michelle and he was a poser!
I only put these in because Michelle was obsessed taking 100's of pictures.
And we shopped … they have these extraordinary stores called Sam Moon that have me floating on cloud nine … as I’m surrounded by glorious purses, fabulous jewelry, and extraordinary accessories of all kinds. I spent way too much money but I’ve decided that I’ll need to go back next year … and the year after that and the year after that and the year after that and the year after that …! HALLOWEEN - I didn’t really do much for myself on this glorious holiday. However, I did get to trick out my niece. Jadyn loves being a princess but this year, Kathryn said she saw a pink cowgirl hat and decided that she would be a pink cowgirl. To make it as authentic as possible, while in Texas, Michelle and I picked up the pink boots, pink belt with the requisite large bedazzled pink heart belt buckle, pink plaid snap shirt, and pink holsters with toy guns. The perfect pink cowgirl!
She loves those pink boots ... she even wanted to shower in them.
THANKSGIVING – I spoke in church on the shocker of a topic … Giving Thanks to God. This was the first time that I was really nervous about speaking and I’m going to lay the total blame at the feet of my new ward. They made me nervous. Yeah … that’s it! As for the actual holiday, I spent it at my parents’ home with my family … except for Elizabeth who had to do something silly like work J! I was in charge of beautifying the table … again. I’m crossing my fingers for something more exciting next time … like the turkey (please Dad … don’t ever give me that assignment). BECCA’S (and Aaron) BABY SHOWER – This was Becca’s second shower but I can’t tell you about the one up north since I was a horrible sister and didn’t go (I had a funeral to attend). For this one, I was in charge of the ‘piece de resistance’ (this must be said with a French accent … no exceptions). My masterpiece of a diaper cake was green and pink and not unlike the famous Faberge Eggs … has many hidden surprises inside.
The Faberge Egg!
CHRISTMAS – I don’t have any pictures of Christmas morning … mostly because of how completely crazy I look. Ironically, my most happily received present was a new camera as my previous one died in a tragic purse vs. Jamba Juice war. Needless to say, my camera died a horribly sticky death.
